ISSUES OF SOLVING PROBLEMS OF ENERGY SUPPLY TO FARMS USING COMBINED MICRO-HYDROELECTRIC POWER PLANTS AND SOLAR POWER PLANTS

Abstract

Using the MATLAB SIMULINK program, a simulation model of a combined energy device based on a microhydroelectric power station and a solar photovoltaic power station was developed. Based on this simulation model, a combined energy device was developed. An Archimedean screw turbine was used as a low-pressure micro-hydroelectric turbine; a 700 W generator was attached to the turbine. Experimental studies were carried out on a combined energy device and, based on the needs of the household, it was possible to provide electricity to the area’s lighting systems, refrigerator, electric stove for cooking, video surveillance devices, and modem devices for connecting to the Internet.
